Translation

O Lord of Ganas (the attendants of Lord Shiva), You are the bestower of the benedictions. O my Lord, we meditate on Your Name first. This is told as the duty and the rules. You have been given the right and the boon of being remembered and offered the prayers first, O Lord Ganesha. You bear the whole creation in Your belly. O Lord of the Ganas, we seek Your refuge. O ele- phant-faced Lord, You are the embodiment of auspiciousness. 1) You bring comfort to the creation. You destroy the obstacles of all. You are the remover of all the obstacles. You have an elephant head. You are called the Lord with one tusk. You are the beloved of Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva. 2) You are the crest jewel of wisdom and knowledge. You are the Lord of Ganas (the attendants of Lord Shiva). You own the wealth of the three worlds. You are the bestower of the spiritual and material wealth. You are the abode (means) of all peace. 3) O Lord with curved trunk, You relish the Sundal made with semolina. The mark on the forehead is very pleasing. O Lord of the Ganas, Your image is very beautiful and attractive. You are worshipped in eight forms in the temples in Maharashtra in a pre-ascertained sequence.
