Meaning

Translation

I worship and adore my Guru. The Guru is the Lord of the universe. My Guru is the supreme pure consciousness. My Guru is the Lord Himself. 1) My Guru is Divine, unfathomable and mysterious. I serve my Guru’s Feet, which are worshiped by all. Beholding the blessed vision of the Guru, I live. I wash my Guru’s Feet and drink this blessed water. 2) Without the Guru, I have no other place at all. Night and day, I dwell in the Guru’s remembrance. 3) Guru is my spiritual wisdom, Guru is the meditation within my heart. Guru is my beloved eternal Lord, the Primal Being. 4) With my palms pressed together, I remain in the Guru’s refuge. Without the Guru, I have none other at all. 5) Guru is the boat to cross over the terrifying world ocean. Serving the Guru, one is released from the messenger of death. 6) In darkness (ignorance, tough times), the mantra of the Guru is the illumination (wisdom, support). With the Guru, all are saved. 7) The Perfect Guru is found by great good fortune. By serving the Guru, one is not afflicted by pain and sorrows.
