Just for a moment, O mind, please worship Guru’s Lotus Feet. 2) This rare human life (birth) is not easily attained. The soul wanders through fourteen realms. With great good fortune, one gets to meet the great devotee of the Lord (the Satguru). 3) Srī Guru is the personification of the bliss inherent in Krishna’s mercy. He is the abode of compassion for souls who are suffering in the material world. He enlightens us in transcendental knowledge, pure devotion, and Divine love. The spiritual Master is the saviour of the fallen conditioned souls. 4) The shrutis (Divine revelations), smritis (the scriptures) and Purānas (ancient legends and traditional lores) clearly indicate that the purpose of life is achieved only by offering one’s mind, body and life at the Lotus Feet of Guru and by always chanting the Name of the Lord.
