Meaning

Translation

O Lord Vitthala, You are the king of Pandharpur. 1) O Lord Krishna, You bear the conch and the disc weapon. You wear the garland of victory. O holder of the Govardhan mountain, You are beautifully dressed in yellow silks. A garland made of Tulasi leaves adorns Your neck. O Lord riding the king of the birds - Garuda, a lotus emanates from Your navel. 2) O Lord Vitthala, You adorn the lingam Tilak on Your forehead. You are the embodiment of lingam.You have a beautiful three fold bending posture. You are always with the gentle-hearted people. You are the pride of the Yadu dynasty. You are the Father of the demigod of love. You purify the sinners. You are very merciful to the meek and helpless. 3) He is the one who incarnates in three worlds within Himself. He incarnates the universe in Himself. He is the one who consumes all negativities by His auspiciousness. The husband of Rukminī, the manifestation of the Unlimited. 4) On the banks of the Chandrabhaga river, standing on the brick with His hands upon His waist is Lord Vitthala. At the temple door of the Lord who rides upon Garuda; Janardhana Swāmī is pleading.
