Meaning

Translation

Such deep devotion welled up that Mīrābāī was completely absorbed in love of Lord Krishna. She would sing the glories of the Lord down every lane. 1) She was raised in a palace, but left to be a holy ascetic. Queen Mīrā was called crazy for Krishna. nobody could stop or interrupt her (from being devoted to her beloved). Mīrābāī sang the glories of Srī Krishna. She sat in the company of saints, coloured in the love of her sweet Krishna. Mīrābāī started to please her most beloved Lord. 2) The King Rana gave her poison but she drank it as if it was nectar. Mīrābāī was absorbed in the Lord Krishna like a river merging into the ocean. She endured all sufferings but her mouth uttered only the Name of the Lord, Govinda. Mīrābāī sang the glories of Srī Krishna.
