I have come at Your door. All glories to the Goddess Lakshmī! Please listen to my call and ferry my life boat across (the ocean of worldly existence). 1) You have sindūra (kumkum or vermilion) on Your forehead. You are offered incense, ghee lamps and food. But I have brought the flowers for You. O Goddess Lakshmī, please listen to my call. 2) O Divine Mother, please ferry the boat of our lives across the ocean of worldly existence. We have come to the refuge of Your Lotus Feet. You are the inner knower of the hearts. O Goddess Lakshmī, please listen to my call. 3) O Divine Mother, You are Goddess Lakshmī. You are also Goddess Saraswati. O creator of the world, You are the consort of Lord Vishnu. You are the friend of the meek and helpless. O Goddess Lakshmī, please listen to my call.
