Meaning

Translation

In this bhajan, Lord Nārāyana comes in the Vamana Avatār at the door of the king Bali and asks for alms. God is standing at your door. O devotee, please fill my bag. It will be your big favour and your glory will be there for centuries to come. 1) Look, the whole Earth is shaking. The whole sky is shaking. To beg at your door, the sustainer of the world has come. I am your guest today, make acquaintance with me. 2) Today you give up everything of yours. You heed to this advice of mine. In a moment, your cycles of birth and death will be removed. Leave all your pride and make your offering immortal. ‘The one who has pure devotion can’t be arrogant or proud. One must be humble. That’s what will attract Bhagavan. Love is humble. I’m talking about Love for God, not human love, where people tend to control each other. There is no humility at all in that kind of love. It’s just a game of power.’ - Paramahamsa Vishwananda -
