Meaning

Translation

1) In the company of saints, in an instant we can get to know the Lord of Lakshmi on this path. 2) Chanting the Divine Names of Lord Rama and Lord Krishna, is the only essence of my life. The chanting of the Name of Lord Ram is the soul of Lord Shiva The repetition of the Lord’s Name is the meaning of life, of the self and of religion. 3) The reciting of the Name of God is the topmost sadhana. Those who worship the Name do not bind themselves in the world of duality. 4) The Vaishnavas have received the nectarine practice of chanting the Name of God. Chanting the Name is more beneficial than harsh austerities of yoga. By chanting the Name one will find liberation from the cycle of birth and death. 5) Prahlad’s heart was burning with the Name of the Lord and he was saved. So too, Uddhava chanted the Name of the Lord and found Lord Krishna as his only saviour. 6) Dnyaneshwar Maharaj says, “Through the chanting of Lord’s Name, the Ultimate is easily achieved”. But this is uncommon because it is a rare person who truly understands it’s greatness.
