Vaishnava Jana To Tene Kahiye Je, Pida Parāyi Jāne Re:// Para Duhkhe Upakāra Kare To Ye, Mana Abhimāna Na Āne Re :// Vaishnava Jana To... A true Vaishnava feels the pain of others. He helps those in misery and suffering, but he never lets pride enter his mind. 1) A Vaishnava respects and appreciates the entire world, and does not condemn anyone. He keeps his words, deeds and thoughts pure. The Mother of such a person is truely blessed. 2) A Vaishnava sees all equally and renounces greed/craving. He respects other women as his own Mother. His tounge never utters untruth and his hands never touch the wealth of others. 3) A Vaishnava does not succumb to worldly attachments and has his mind rooted in staunch renounciation. He is absorbed in chanting the Name of Lord Rām and all places of pilgrimage are embodied in him. 4) A Vaishnava is devoid of greed and deceit and has forsaken lust and anger. The poet narsinh Mehta says ‘I would be blessed to meet such a soul, by whose virtue their entire lineage gets liberated.
