O Lord Rāmachandra, the descendent of the Raghu dynasty, You are beautiful soothing and refreshing like the full Moon. O Victorious Lord Rāma, You are the Lord of Sītā (Jānakī). You are the savior and redeemer of Saint Ahalya (the first woman created by Brahma, who gave her as a wife to Sage Gautama; she was seduced by Indra and cursed by Gautama to live con- cealed until Rāmachandra arrived to free her); O virtuous Lord Rāma, You are endowed with beauty, goodness and noble characteristics. O Lord Rāma! Holder of ‘Kodanda’ (bow)! You destroyed the evil King Rāvana. O Lord Rāma! The crowned King of Ayodhyā. Lord Rāma, You always look fresh and gentle. O Victorious Lord Rāma, You are the Lord of Sītā (Jānakī). Victory to Lord Rāma!
