1) Praise Lord Rām, O Heart! For He removes the fear of cycles of birth and death and other perils. His eyes, face, hands, and legs are all like freshly blossomed lotuses. 2) Praise Lord Rām, whose beauty is unparalleled by even countless cupids, whose body is a beautiful blue cloud, whose garb gleams like lightning, and who is married to the daughter of Janaka. 3) Sing the glory of the Lord, who is the upholder of the poor, and who vanquished the demonic races. He is the Moon of queen Kaushalya and the dearest to the king Dasharatha. 4) Praise Lord Rām, who wears a crown, adorned with ear rings, tilak on his forehead, and who is decorated with jewellery. He who has long arms, who bears a bow and arrow and defeated Khar – Dushan in battle. 5) Tulsīdās proclaims, O! Lord you have filled the hearts of Lord Shiva, Adishesha, and Saints with bliss. Please reside in my heart and expurgate the inferior feelings of desire and such like. 6) Our mind has the property of going to those places repeatedly where it it finds joy. As such if we know or think of all knowing Lord Rām who is extremely handsome, is by nature the embodiment of compassion and love, our minds will be fixed on Him. 7) I Tulsīdās do worship again and again Lord Rām by keeping Him in the temple of my mind, who is also being worshipped by all Divine beings and by Lord Shiva accompanied by His consort Gauri (Pārvatī) and all His attendants. 8) Goddess Gauri, with extreme happiness in her mind due to her thoughts about Lord Rām, Who is the embodiment of Divine beauty and auspiciousness, sat down resting Her ears in Her palms. Sri Rāma Rāma Rāmeti Rāme Rāme Manorame Sahasra Nāma Tat Tulyam Rāma Nāma Varanane Lord Shiva told this Sloka to Parvati: “I meditate upon Sri Rāma as Sri Rāma Rāma Rāma. The thrice recital of Rāma’s Name is equal to recitation of the thousand Names of Lord Vishnu”
