Shankara, You are the embodiment of mercy, why are You taking so long? O Tripurari, now have mercy on me, have mercy, have mercy. 2) Your body smeared with Bhasma (ashes) is magnificent, You are the Lord of the Universe, adorning half of Your body is Mā Ambā, You are the Lord of the Mountain, You are the Lord of the Gangā. 3) The sight of the crescent Moon on Your head is glorious and peaceful, You are the Lord of the Ganas, You are my Lord, Help to remove all worries, have mercy, have mercy. 4) The love You have for Your devotees, Who doesn’t know about it? But I am not a good devotee of Yours, this truth I accept. 5) I don’t have any support of my own Bhakti towards You, but instead I depend on You completely. Remember Your own nature, have mercy, have mercy. 6) You are the Lord of the whole world, what can I ask from anybody else? You are the Sustainer of the universe. Then what can I get from anybody else? 7) You are the Buddhi (knowledge), You are the action, what can I take from anybody else? You are the God of Gods, what can I plead from anyone else? 8) So many get attracted to You, Your form is glorified with all aspects of beauty. 9) Shakti resides in You, Shakti is wisdom, Shakti is Abhirama.
