Translation

Shankara, You are the embodiment of mercy, why are You taking so long? Help to remove all worries, have mercy, have mercy. 1) Due to Tapas (sadhana) I am getting weary and longing more for You, O Prabhu, I fall at Your Lotus Feet. O Tripurari, now have mercy on me, have mercy, have mercy. 2) Your body smeared with Bhasma (ashes) is magnificent, You are the Lord of the Universe, adorning half of Your body is Mā Ambā, You are the Lord of the Mountain, You are the Lord of the Gangā. 3) The sight of the crescent Moon on Your head is glorious and peaceful, You are the Lord of the Ganas, You are my Lord, Help to remove all worries, have mercy, have mercy. 4) The love You have for Your devotees, Who doesn’t know about it? But I am not a good devotee of Yours, this truth I accept. 5) I don’t have any support of my own Bhakti towards You, but instead I depend on You completely. Remember Your own nature, have mercy, have mercy. 6) You are the Lord of the whole world, what can I ask from anybody else? You are the Sustainer of the universe. Then what can I get from anybody else? 7) You are the Buddhi (knowledge), You are the action, what can I take from anybody else? You are the God of Gods, what can I plead from anyone else? 8) So many get attracted to You, Your form is glorified with all aspects of beauty. 9) Shakti resides in You, Shakti is wisdom, Shakti is Abhirama. Let the well-being happen in each moment. 10) You are the source of bliss, You are the Ākara (shape) and Ādhara (support) of truth, You are the expansion of this Srishti (creation). 11) You are devoted to Lakshmī-Nārāyana, You are always serving without any desire. Pure love is obtained by those who constantly chant Your Name. 12) nobody has realised the greatness of the Holy Name. Devas and Asuras also chant Your Name till today. 13) Till today I have faith in the existence of God, Your Name stays in my breath always. 14) O Srī Guru, the merciful One, the one who showers Grace, the one who showers kindness, O Dina Bandhu (friend of the impoverished) have mercy on me. 15) O Tripati, who is wisdom, the knower and the Sadhak,O merciful one, Srī Gurudeva’s eternal form gives one happiness. 16) He who has attained the Bliss of Brahman, the supreme Joy, He who is pure (free from delusion), embodiment of Wisdom, beyond the duality of the world, sky high in spiritual- ity, 17) He whose attention is on "I am that". One with divinity, Eternal, without impurities, immovably established in truth, He who is witness to everything (from his omniscience). Beyond the mind (emotions), without the three Gunas (of Sattva, Rajas, Tamas), Salutations to that Holy Guru.
