Your devotees always long for You. O Lord, please fulfill my desires. O bestower of peace and happiness, please give me Your Darshan and take me in Your embrace, My heart yearns to meet the Supreme Lord of all. By His Grace, He can unite me with Himself. In the month of Shravan, happy is the bride who enshrines love for the Lord’s Lotus Feet. Her mind and body are imbued with the true love for the Lord. His Name is her only support. [1] The pleasures of corrupt practices are false. All that seems enjoyable soon turns to ashes. The drop of nectar of the Supreme Lord is delightful. One drinks this by meeting the Saint. [2] The forests and the meadows are rejuvenated with the Supreme Lord, the all- powerful, infinite primal being. My heart yearns to meet the Supreme Lord of all. By His Grace, He can unite me with Himself. [3] O dear friend, those who have attained the Lord, I forever sacrifice myself unto them. Guru Arjan (the 5th Guru Nanak) says, “O Guru Nanak, my dear Lord, please bestow Your Grace upon me and adorn me with Your sacred Shabad (the holy words of the Guru praising of the Supreme Lord).” [4] In the month of Shravan, happy are those soul brides whose hearts are adorned with the necklace of the Lord's Name.
