Translation
How can I live without You O Lord? How can I live without You? You are the support of my life. How can I live without You? Only Your Name alone is the true essence. The whole world is false. In thought, word and deed, only the Lord’s name is of any help in the age of darkness. [1] The world is a horrible hell, full of dreaded enemies and immense misery. Under the blissful shelter of Your Lotus Feet, keep me O Creator. [2] The veil between You and me is made of greed, ego, and lust. Only that rare devotee is saved, who remembers the eternal Lord. [3] Following the scriptures, the people of the world are drifting in the current of attachments. So says Sant Namdev, “O Lord, ferry me across the ocean of existence.” [4]
