Meaning
Translation
O Lord, You are alone my refuge, You are alone my hope. Whether sitting, standing, sleeping or awake - may I always remember You with each breath and with every morsel of food. Without You, I have no other. You alone are in my heart. When You are my friend, my Lord always with me; why should I fear? O Lord, You are my refuge. [1] O Lord, please always keep me in Your refuge as the fire of ocean of the worldly existence is very dreadful. Guru Arjan, (the 5th Guru Nanak) says, “O my Satguru, You are the bestower of peace and happiness to me. I am Your child, O cherisher of the world.” O Lord, You are my refuge. [2]
