O mad man, you have not attained spiritual wisdom and contemplation. You have wasted this precious human birth. Your eyes are exhausted and your ears are tired of hearing. Your beautiful body is exhausted. Driven forward by old age, all your senses are exhausted. Only your attachment to the world is not exhausted. [1] O mortal, serve the Lord as long as the breath of life remains in your body. Even if this physical body dies, your love for the Lord shall not die. Dwell at the Lotus Feet of the Lord. [2] In whoever’s heart this Shabadis enshrined within, one's thirst and desire [for worldly pleasures] are quenched. One understands the will of the Lord and plays the game of life with Him. One has conquered their own mind and thus rolls the dice [to play the game]. [3] Those humble beings, who know the imperishable Lord, and meditate on Him are not destroyed at all. Sant Kabir says, “Those humble beings who know how to throw these dice, never lose the game of life.” [4]
