Translation
Service the Satguru is only fruitful, when it is done with one's whole heart and mind. The fruit of the heart's deepest longing is received, and ego departs from within. [1] The bonds of worldly attachment are broken, one is liberated, and remains absorbed in the Eternal Truth. [2] In this world, the Name of the Lord is rarely attained, yet it comes to dwell within the heart of the disciple. [3] Guru Amar Das (3rd Nanak) says, “I sacrifice myself to the one who serves his Satguru.” [4] When it [service to the Satguru] is done with one's whole heart and mind.
