Meaning

Translation

Thank goodness, my pitcher broke. I do not have to fetch the water anymore. Now I am freed from my problem. Seeing the grinding stones roll, Sant Kabir started to cry as none of the grain that came in between the two grinding stones remained intact. [1] Sant Kabir’s son Kamaal responds, “Everyone speaks of the grinding stone, but no one speaks of the central pivot (the eye of the millstone where the grains are dropped for grinding). The grains that clasp to the pivot remain untouched [meaning those who stay close to the true essence only get saved].” [2] “Thank goodness my Mala has broken. My Mala has broken.” says Sant Kabir.
