O Lord Subrahmanya (the One who realised Brahman), You are the Divine Guru of all. O six-faced Lord, You were born in the forest near the lake Saravana in the month of Saravana (Saravanabhava). You are the Divine Guru residing in the cave of hearts of all (Guha). You have the green peacock as your vehicle. O Gurudeva Subrahmanyam (Muruga), You are the incarnation of the supreme Lord. You are the son of Goddess Pārvatī (Shaktiumei). O little Kumaresha (Muruga), You reside in Swāmīmalai (one of the six main abodes of Lord Muruga where He preached Pranava mantra to His Father Lord Shiva and hence was called as Swaminatha).
